They feel like they don’t have a long enough plot so they try to stretch out the episodes starting from season 1
The first few episodes were great and had me glued to my seat, but from then on they stopped moving the plot forward, always going into these vague side stories that are supposed to connect you to a specific character and make you feel a deeper connection to them, but then completely fail to do so. You can afford three filler episodes in a row in a long season of 15-20 episodes, but when you go with a 10 episode per season plan and half of that is eaten up by filler sidelines, it’s obviously boring.
Edit: The above review was written after episode 5 ended and my faith in the show has now been restored after episode 7
My wife went from “oh god, let’s put out a new episode of Silo, okay, you set up the home theater and I’ll do the dishes” to “hey, let’s go out Silo, do you want to watch?” to “at this point I’m not sure we can finish the series, we’re just one filler that will forget all about it.
