Olivia Burton, 23, moves to California with her boyfriend, 24-year-old Francis Morales, against the wishes of their family members. Francis’ mother, Lillian, is a devout Catholic who disapproves of her son’s cohabitation and expresses her feelings in the form of cruel postcards on religious themes.
