When Brett Goldstein, Jason Siegel and Bill Lawrence, when asked how they got Harrison Ford to appear in the series, Siegel said that Goldstein originally wanted him to be “like Harrison Ford.” And he auditioned people like Ford. Siegel told Goldstein that first they should have at least given it to Ford, thinking that he would immediately reject it, but at least other people would hear that the project was proposed by Harrison Ford, which would cause interest from other famous actors.
The acting was great
Goldstein eventually talked to Ford and sold him the role. Goldstein still does not understand what he did to convince him, but, nevertheless, he was delighted. Featured on WatchMojo: 10 Best TV Shows of 2023 (So Far) (2023). It was a solid production and a very unique story.
Is it perfect?
I love how each character admits their flaws, shows vulnerability, and uses humor for spiritual growth. “Downsizing” has tons of heartwarming moments, awkward moments, mildly funny cute moments, and laugh-out-loud moments. I hope they continue to make additional seasons because the character development justifies it. No.
But none of us, either
I think that the excessive use of expletives diminishes the overall potential of power here. It’s as if the writers forcefully make the series spicy. Personally, I don’t think it was necessary. That’s why I gave it an 8.
